In an effort to help support and fund Black-owned small businesses, Black creators, and nonprofits, Facebook (now known as Meta) has announced that they are continuing its 'We The Culture' program. Initially launched this past February, 'We The Culture' is Facebook's first Black creator program, which offers selected participants access to funding, resources, and hands-on support.
Throughout this year, Facebook has released 20 series and helped elevate content from Black creators. Some of these series are still to come, like the docuseries “Hella Black with Tobe & Fat’ which takes a look into the lives of HipHop’s up-and-coming artists as they work and grow together, all under the same roof.
Now, Facebook is bringing ‘We The Culture’ back for a second year! Anyone eligible can apply from now until December 20th for a chance to be a part of the new program. Currently, you can submit submissions here.
Facebook has made it clear that they want to continue offering more opportunities for Black creators, and for that, we salute them! So be sure to head over and apply for ‘We The Culture.’ For more information regarding this, feel free to contact us.
