YouTube is offering 5 new NextUp camps in 2018, which you can attend by applying and entering the NextUp contest to win. Continue reading for the full details on the camps and how to apply.
YouTube’s NextUp camps are designed to teach creators how to make better videos, get more subscribers and “take your channel to the next level”. By entering the NextUp contest, you get a chance to win the opportunity to attend a 5-day creator camp. At these camps, creators will learn how to create better channels, complete video assignments, learn how to use high-quality equipment, and more. After the camp, you’ll leave with a voucher for new production equipment worth $1,000 (or local equivalent) at a YouTube selected retailer. Contest winners will also get access to one-on one-advice from YouTube, invites to exclusive events and parties, and the chance to work with YouTube Partners and NextUp creators.These next two editions of NextUp are designed for Black or Latino viewers or creators and the camps will occur in Fall 2018. The camps will be located in London, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City, and Delhi. YouTube is accepting applications through July 19, 2018, but your channel has to meet certain requirements to be eligible to apply. These requirements are:
- Channel must have between 10,000 and 100,000 subscribers, you can’t have more or less then that range
- You must be a YouTube partner with monetization enabled on your channel
- Your account must be in good standing
- You must have uploaded at least 3 newly-created videos to your channel in the last 90 days
