Connecting directly with your audience is an extremely important way to grow your community and build more engagement, especially during a live stream. This week, YouTube has announced a new feature that will help you increase engagement even more with ‘Live Q&A’.
Live Q&A allows you to set a prompt and get questions directly in a separate feed from your Live Chat. From there, you can pin a question to the top of your Live Chat and help get the conversations moving. But first, let’s take a look at how to get started.
• Click the ‘+’ at the bottom of your Live Chat
• Tap ‘Start Q&A’ and make sure to add a prompt
• Questions will appear in your feed, and simply tapping the ‘⋮’ will pin that comment to the top of your chat.
We’re excited to see how everyone uses this feature, whether in an ‘Ask Me Anything’ prompt or asking your audience to submit questions regarding a specific video or event you have coming up. It’s also important to note that this feature works in live streams and Premieres.
You’ll be able to get started with Live Q&A’s today on any desktop computer, and questions can be submitted on both desktop and mobile. If you have any questions about this or anything else on YouTube, be sure to contact us.
