On Wednesday April 19th, Quarterlab will be participating in a panel discussion at Canadian Music Week (CMW). The title of the panel discussion is: “Views” News: Creating An Online Video Presence. The discussion will focus on both existing and emerging video platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and more. Learn how these platforms are being used by fans and artists to connect. The panel of experts will discuss strategizing a video presence, maximizing views, and deepening the connection with your video audience.Gray Gannaway, Quarterlab's founder, will be speaking on the panel as well as a handful of other experts in the field.
We’ll be joined by the following esteemed speakers:Ted Cohen (TAG Strategic): Cohen is the founder of TAG Strategic, a digital entertainment consulting firm. He is a highly regarded veteran of the music industry with over 30 years of experience in New Media and Entertainment. He will be moderating the panel and brings a wealth of insight and wisdom to the table.Andrew Lindsay (Google Canada): Lindsay is Manager of Music Label Partnerships at Google Play Music and YouTube Music, which are two related Google services you'll be hearing more about over the coming months. Prior to working at Google, Andrew held various positions at Sony Music Entertainment and he has a great deal of expertise in business development within the music industry.Matt Connell (Songs From The Vault): Connell is an audio engineer and producer that also produces music videos for various bands and solo artists. With over 1MM video views to-date, he also produces video content for major music brands and has first-hand experience with live video production.Dana Shayegan (Studio71): Shayegan is VP of Music at Studio71, an extremely diverse and successful global network of creators. Previously heading marketing efforts for Scion and co-founding the lifestyle clothing brand We Are Massiv, Dana currently works across several genres to help Studio71’s musicians and video creators excel through branded content, digital content monetization, & intellectual property exploitation.
