Facebook just announced a new feature, Facebook Collabs, which is a new way for creators to co-author posts. Facebook Collabs allow one single post to be shared on two pages, with both page owners credited for the post while sharing likes, reactions, and views. Most importantly, that post can been seen by all followers of both Facebook pages.
Unlike Facebook's Crossposting feature, which creates a new post with the assets of an original and keeps credit to one author, Collabs jointly credits both creators on a single post. This provides for the sharing of comments and reactions within two creators' communities, and allows everyone to take part in the discussion like never before. This can be a great new way to get introduced to audiences of your collaborators and to help expand your following.
If you'd like to set up a Collab, follow these instructions provided by Facebook:
From desktop:
To set up Facebook Collabs posts and add a collaborator with Creator Studio's Composer:

After the primary collaborator adds a secondary collaborator to a Facebook Collabs post in post composer, they will receive a notification. Here is how to accept the invitation notification on the Facebook app:
• 1. Click on the Notification.
• 2. A new screen will pop up, allowing the secondary collaborator to view information about the collaborative post.
• 3. The secondary collaborator can then accept or reject the post.
Currently, this feature is only available for VOD content, not including Facebook Reels. However, Facebook notes they plan to expand this feature shortly. As for now, only the primary author can access monetization analytics and is responsible for turning on monetization.
We're excited to see how this feature will help push forward collaborations on Facebook. If you have questions about this or anything else Facebook-related, feel free to contact us.
