This week Meta announced some exciting news about discoverability for creators on Facebook and Instagram. Meta wants to make it easier for those producing original content to get seen, and we're here for it! Let's start by taking a look at what's new to Instagram.

Recently, Instagram announced 'Enhanced Tags', an add-on to the standard tag feature that allows you to add a role when crediting an account.

Enhanced Tags allow you to easily spot photographers, stylists, rappers, and any creatives who help on a post. While this feature has been available for photos and Feed Videos, Instagram will now enable Enhanced Tags for use on Reels.

Speaking of Reels, Instagram has a couple of updates to help you out. First, Instagram's invite-only monetization program, the 'Reels Play bonus program', will be updated with 'challenges', giving you more opportunities to make money on the platform. More importantly, Instagram is making significant changes to original content rankings via Reels. While ranking and discoverability are algorithmic, Instagram is tweaking changes to allow original content to be more discoverable. This is a massive plus for original content and content creators.

Now, let's look at an added feature to Facebook. 'Music Clips', Facebook's newest way to share music within groups.

Sharing music with friends, colleagues, and family just got so much easier. In a post or comment, you'll now have the ability to add a 30-sec preview of any song within the Facebook music library, add a personalized message, and boom, that's Music Clips. This feature should make it easier for artists, both big and small, to get their music seen and shared.
