This week Instagram announced some exciting updates: New enhanced insights, updated Instagram-like settings, and a new way to use music sticker attributions.
To start, let's take a look at the new insights:
Back in March, Instagram added the Remix functionality to Reels. Now, they have added some new ways to view your insights on Reels.
On an individual Reel that you've published, tap the '...' and then click onto 'View Insights'.
Here you will be able to view a variety of metrics about that specific Reel, including the accounts reached, plays, likes, saves, and more.
Along with individual Reel insights, you can now get a broader look at your Reel performance on the Account Insights page. Here you can view top content, your media library and overall accounts reached.
These features will only be available for Reels posted on or after May 14th.
Instagram also introduced Live Insights. It's safe to say that Instagram Live has been a critical component in connecting with your audience over the past couple of years. It gives people the ability to interact and catch new content live. What's been missing is a way to see exactly how well your Live post have been performing. The new Live insights, however, fix this issue.
These insights include accounts reached, views, peak concurrent viewers, comments, and shares, and these features will only be available for Live videos broadcasted on or after May 24th.
Along with both the Reel insights and Live insights, Instagram added updates to reach insights. It's essential to have an overall view of how exactly you reach followers and non-followers. What content is driving new users to your page? What content do your followers not engage with? All of these are important questions that you can now answer with the latest reach insights.
Onto the new Likes updates, you will now have the ability to not only hide likes on your post but control how you see others likes on your feed.
To hide like counts on your post:
-Step 1: Before sharing your new post, tap 'Advanced Settings'
-Step 2: Toggle on 'Hide Like Counts' to control your view of the total number of likes and views on your current posts.
To control how you see others like counts:
-Step 1: Navigate to your Profile. Tap the three lines at the top of your Profile. Then tap 'Settings'.
-Step 2: Tap 'Privacy'
-Step 3: 'Tap "Posts'
-Step 4: Toggle on 'Hide Like and View Counts' to hide like counts on Feed posts when scrolling through Instagram.
Lastly, let's dive into the changes made in sticker attribution. It's never been easier to share music via your Instagram story. A few clicks, and you can add a favorite song over any photo or video. Now, Instagram has made it even easier for people to share and save those songs.
When a song is shared onto a story with one simple tap, you will now have the option to save the song for use on your own story or send the song via direct message. This feature is a game-changer when it comes to sharing music via Instagram.
