We recently wrote about some new updates to the YouTube Studio app, and there are now more YouTube Studio features to announce. These new features will be rolling out in the coming weeks, and they focus on new analytics metrics and better insights. Read our full blog for more details.YouTube is making an effort to implement YouTube Studio as the main app for creators to use, instead of Creator Studio (now called Creator Studio Classic). As part of this effort, there are more YouTube Studio features to announce, including three new metrics being introduced to YouTube Analytics. These will be available to everyone in YouTube Studio within the next couple weeks, a few weeks after they are available in Creator Studio Classic. These new metrics are: Impressions, Impressions click-through rate, and Unique Viewers.

An Impression occurs when a viewer sees a video thumbnail on YouTube. This metric will only reflect impressions generated by video thumbnails, including thumbnails on the homepage, subscription feed, search, and "up next" section. This metric will help you understand the video's potential reach, but not actual views gained.

Impressions click-through rate will show the percentage of impressions that actually turned into views. This metric will give valuable insight to help creators make better decisions on how to optimize video titles and thumbnails. Effective thumbnails and titles will give you a higher impressions click-through rate, and you'll be able to see what kind of titles and thumbnails work better with your viewers.Unique viewers will show the estimated number of individual people who watch your videos over a period of time. A person will count as one unique viewer, whether they watch multiple videos on your channel, or watch videos on your channel on multiple devices. This metric will be helpful in determining which of your videos are reaching a wider audience than just your subscribers.

There is also a new YouTube Studio dashboard that provides three new key features: a video snapshot, personalized recommendations, and a news features. The video snapshot will compare your newest video with previous uploads over the same time period, and let you know how it's performing. Personalized recommendations will feature helpful insights from the Creator Academy chosen specifically for your channel. Finally, the news feature will highlight updates from the creator community on YouTube.

Be sure to read our recent article on the YouTube Studio app, and let us know if you have any questions on any of these updates.
