YouTube recently launched a suite of video products called YouTube Director. While it is directed towards small businesses, it offers a great tool to content creators to make your channel trailer and generally advertise your channel as a business. The suite includes three video ad creation products, all of which we will cover below.

YouTube Director For Business App

The first product in the YouTube Director suite is a free app for the iPhone, available in the US and Canada. The app enables content creators and business owners to create a channel trailer or video ad directly from their phone. The whole process is easy and quick, and can be done in 20 minutes or less. Once you download the app on your phone, there are ready-to-go templates to choose from and step-by-step instructions on how to shoot and edit your video. YouTube Director Onsite

The second product of this suite is a service called YouTube Director Onsite which sends professional filmmakers to you to shoot and edit a video for your business or channel. The process of shooting and editing only takes 2 to 3 hours, and you will have the video ready to go the same day. This service is only available in select cities, and only when the business or channel spends at least $150 in advertisements on YouTube. This service is currently only available in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

YouTube Director Automated Video

The third product in the YouTube Director suite is called YouTube Director Automated Video. made to be used for channels or businesses that have an app an associated with it. This product creates video ads automatically by using content like your logos and screenshots taken from your YouTube Director app. Google hasn’t provided many other details on the Automated Video service, but you can reach out to a Google expert (1-855-500-2756) for more information.While these new tools are primarily geared towards small businesses, YouTube channels can use these to create promotional content to help increase awareness of your videos.
