Music Video Rollout & YouTube Strategy

YFN Lucci is an Atlanta-based rapper known for his melodic style and emotionally driven storytelling, earning recognition through hits like “Everyday We Lit” and “Wish Me Well.” After a four-year hiatus and legal challenges that included time in prison, “JAN. 31st (my truth)” marked Lucci’s highly anticipated return to music. The release wasn’t just a comeback—it was a moment of personal and artistic reclamation, with fans and the industry closely watching. Quarterlab was proud to play a key role in its success across YouTube and YouTube Music. With a goal of building awareness, maximizing reach, and capturing strong momentum within the first two weeks, we worked closely with Lucci’s team to craft and execute a strategy that extended far beyond just uploading a music video.

Quarterlab supported the launch with a multi-layered campaign tailored specifically to YouTube's discovery and promotional mechanics. Key elements included:

  • Custom Rollout Strategy
    We partnered with the label and management to build a release plan that maximized visibility on both the YouTube main app and YouTube Music. Our goal was to build anticipation pre-release, generate a spike in initial performance, and sustain interest in the weeks that followed.

  • Playlist Pitching & Editorial Support
    Quarterlab led the charge in pitching the release to YouTube Music’s editorial team, ultimately securing 4 playlist placements within the first week—including a playlist cover, one of the highest visibility placements on the platform.

Shorts + Social Strategy
Our Content Creation Team produced a series of engaging Shorts and developed a custom IG/YouTube social calendar that helped build anticipation, highlight key moments from the release, and drive more fans toward the official video and audio stream.
